Responsibility
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to guests in a timely manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
- Set up, clear, and reset tables according to established standards, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Process payments accurately using cash registers or POS systems, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of utensils, glassware, and tableware.
- Assist in training new staff members and provide guidance to junior team members as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, briefings, and training sessions to stay updated on menu changes, promotions, and service standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Waiter, Waitress, or Cashier in a restaurant, café, or hospitality setting (prior experience in Bali or international hospitality is a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tables or tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling, POS systems, or digital payment methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including wine, cocktail, or coffee service (preferred but not required).
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Russian, Japanese) are highly advantageous.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays or equipment as needed.
