Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems meet Marriott’s global standards.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of property assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Housekeeping, Food & Beverage) to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational efficiency.
- Manage capital expenditure projects, including renovations and upgrades, while adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety, environmental, and building codes, including sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving measures without compromising guest comfort or service quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering-related emergencies, providing rapid and effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hotel engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (e.g., Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer).
- Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building automation for large-scale properties.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA standards, and local regulations in Indonesia.
- Exceptional project management, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
