Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes in accordance with Westin’s wellness-focused menu standards.
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative, health-conscious menu items that align with guest preferences.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely restocking of ingredients and supplies.
- Support the execution of special events, banquets, and catering services with precision and professionalism.
- Adhere to Westin’s sustainability practices, including waste reduction and responsible sourcing of ingredients.
- Continuously improve culinary skills through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in a luxury hotel setting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Formal culinary education or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for wellness-focused cuisine and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
