Responsibility
- Oversee daily hospital billing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of billing specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle management and reduce claim denials.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Ensure timely submission and follow-up of claims to maximize reimbursement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting hospital billing.
- Streamline workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital billing, facility billing, or physician billing.
- Proven leadership experience in managing billing teams and operations.
- Strong knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and billing software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
