Responsibility
- Issue Letters of Authorization (LOAs) for patients in compliance with HMO policies and hospital protocols.
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits by coordinating with HMO providers and internal departments.
- Address patient and healthcare provider inquiries regarding HMO coverage, claims, and benefits with accuracy and empathy.
- Maintain and update patient records and HMO transaction logs in the hospital’s information system.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive HMO reports to management and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with billing and admissions teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of HMO-related transactions.
- Resolve discrepancies or issues related to HMO claims and reimbursements in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on changes in HMO policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HMO coordination, healthcare administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HMO processes, healthcare insurance policies, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and HMO representatives.
- Proficient in using healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a problem-solving approach.
