Responsibility
- Operate and maintain hemodialysis machines and reverse osmosis (RO) systems to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
- Sanitize and disinfect dialysis stations, equipment, and tools in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Prepare, inspect, and manage dialyzers and dialysis solutions according to manufacturer guidelines and clinical standards.
- Monitor patients during dialysis treatments, reporting any adverse reactions or equipment malfunctions to the medical team.
- Assist nurses and doctors in patient setup, cannulation, and post-treatment care as needed.
- Conduct daily inventory checks of dialysis supplies and reagents, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely reordering.
- Perform routine quality assurance tests on water and dialysate to meet regulatory and safety requirements.
- Document all procedures, maintenance activities, and patient-related data in electronic health records (EHR) accurately and promptly.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Hemodialysis Technology, Nursing, or a related medical field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Hemodialysis Technician or in a similar role in a clinical setting.
- In-depth knowledge of hemodialysis principles, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with infection control practices and sterile techniques in a healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols for patient safety and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transfers when necessary.
- Basic computer skills for EHR documentation and inventory management.
