Responsibility
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and other critical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours.
- Collaborate with site managers and engineers to develop maintenance schedules and improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance and repair operations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior mechanics and support staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Machinery Mechanic, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid certification or vocational training in heavy machinery mechanics is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the industry.
