Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure all equipment complies with industry and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to identify equipment issues and recommend solutions.
- Order and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies to support maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in heavy equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of heavy machinery systems, including diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges, scan tools).
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
- Valid certification in heavy equipment maintenance (e.g., from a vocational school or manufacturer training) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in English and/or Indonesian to collaborate effectively with team members.
