Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on heavy equipment and trucks to ensure operational readiness.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and implement effective repair solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Document all maintenance and repair work accurately in logbooks or digital systems.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet operational deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during repairs and maintenance.
- Order and manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for repairs.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in heavy equipment technology and repair techniques.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of formal training or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a mechanic, specifically working with trucks and heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different sites as needed.
