Responsibility
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy machinery.
- Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption.
- Order and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different sites as needed.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Certification in heavy equipment repair is a plus.
