Responsibility
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery, vehicles, and farm equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and execute repairs efficiently.
- Inspect and test equipment to identify potential failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, parts usage, and service logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations during all maintenance operations.
- Collaborate with farm managers and operational teams to prioritize maintenance tasks based on production needs.
- Operate and test machinery post-repair to verify functionality and safety.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, automotive repair, or industrial machinery.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Familiarity with agricultural or construction equipment (e.g., tractors, harvesters, loaders) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety standards (OSHA, ISO, or local equivalents) in maintenance operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in outdoor or workshop environments.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance logging and inventory management.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or emergencies, as required.
