Responsibility
- Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering basic treatments, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Provide personal care and support to patients, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance, while maintaining their dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record patient conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing or medical team promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and healthcare standards.
- Assist in the transportation of patients within the facility, ensuring their safety and comfort during movement.
- Support patients with daily activities, including meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Participate in training and professional development programs to stay updated on best practices in healthcare and patient support.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; certification in healthcare assistance or nursing is a plus.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or aged care facility, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
