Responsibility
- Assist guests with fitness equipment usage, providing demonstrations and safety instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the gym, spa, and wellness areas to meet resort standards.
- Conduct basic fitness assessments and recommend personalized workout plans for guests.
- Lead group fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates, or HIIT, based on guest demand and resort offerings.
- Monitor and restock fitness amenities, such as towels, water, and sanitization supplies.
- Respond to guest inquiries about wellness programs, facilities, and local fitness activities.
- Collaborate with the wellness team to organize and promote health-related events and workshops.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and emergency procedures within the fitness center.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a fitness, wellness, or hospitality role (preferably in a resort or gym setting).
- Certification in fitness training (e.g., NASM, ACE, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse, international clientele.
- Strong knowledge of fitness principles, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Passion for health, wellness, and customer service with a proactive and friendly attitude.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
