As the Head of Fraud Prevention, you will lead a high-performing team in developing and implementing cutting-edge fraud detection systems, leveraging AI, machine learning, and behavioral analytics to stay ahead of evolving threats. Youâll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Risk, Compliance, and Technology, to create a robust fraud prevention framework that balances security with seamless user experience.
This is a remote position based in Bali, offering the flexibility to work from one of the worldâs most vibrant digital nomad hubs while contributing to a mission-driven fintech company. Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of BillEaseâs fraud prevention strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of fraud detection systems, including rule-based engines, AI/ML models, and real-time monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to integrate fraud prevention measures into product development and operational workflows.
- Monitor emerging fraud trends and threats, proactively adjusting strategies to mitigate risks in the digital banking ecosystem.
- Manage and mentor a team of fraud analysts and specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular fraud risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with external stakeholders, including law enforcement, regulators, and industry peers, to combat fraud and enhance security standards.
- Prepare and present fraud risk reports to senior management and the Board, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field; Masterâs degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFE, CAMS) are a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or compliance within the banking, fintech, or financial services industry.
- Proven leadership experience, with at least 3 years managing a team in a fraud prevention or risk-related role.
- Strong technical acumen, with experience in fraud detection tools, AI/ML models, and data analytics platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, or R).
- In-depth knowledge of global fraud trends, regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, KYC), and best practices in digital banking security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop strategic solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, remote, or hybrid environment, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
