Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Engineering Process Department in alignment with company objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of process engineers to ensure operational excellence and project delivery.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Oversee the design, testing, and implementation of new engineering processes and technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality Assurance, R&D) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Analyze process performance metrics and implement data-driven improvements.
- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and capital expenditure for process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the steel or heavy manufacturing industry.
- Proven expertise in process optimization, Lean Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of steel pipe manufacturing processes, metallurgy, and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software, process simulation tools, and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with ISO, ASME, or API standards for steel manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and drive change management initiatives.
