Responsibility
- Assist in the research and development of Joule-heated 4D printing techniques under expert supervision.
- Conduct experiments to test and optimize smart material properties, including shape-memory polymers and conductive composites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and prototype 4D-printed structures for real-world applications.
- Document research findings, prepare technical reports, and present progress updates to stakeholders.
- Operate and maintain advanced 3D/4D printing equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Analyze data using computational tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python) to evaluate material performance and structural integrity.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in additive manufacturing and propose innovative solutions for ongoing projects.
- Support the preparation of patents, publications, or grant proposals related to 4D printing breakthroughs.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS) and additive manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Hands-on experience in a lab or workshop setting, with a keen interest in experimental research.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, or Excel) and technical writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset to tackle challenges in smart material development.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) to collaborate in an international research team.
