Responsibility
- Develop and refine a Thai-inspired menu that aligns with Buddha Siargao’s brand and customer expectations.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food cost control, and supplier negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to create seasonal specials and promotional menus.
- Source high-quality, fresh ingredients locally and internationally to maintain authenticity and flavor.
- Monitor customer feedback and adjust menu items or preparation methods as needed to enhance satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive and efficient work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef, with a strong background in Thai cuisine.
- Proven ability to manage a busy kitchen, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and inventory control.
- Deep knowledge of Thai cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing innovative and authentic dishes.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety regulations, and best practices in kitchen management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
