Responsibility
- Lead and manage the kitchen team to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for elderly residents
- Develop and implement seasonal menus that balance nutritional requirements with exceptional taste and presentation
- Collaborate with nutritionists to create specialized meal plans for residents with dietary restrictions
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with Indonesian regulations
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and budgeting to maintain cost efficiency
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques and portion control
- Work with the care team to monitor resident satisfaction and adjust menus accordingly
- Implement sustainable practices in food sourcing and waste reduction
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional cooking experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Experience in institutional or healthcare food service is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian cuisine and ability to adapt recipes for elderly dietary needs
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and HACCP principles
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Passion for working with elderly populations and understanding of their nutritional needs
