Responsibility
- Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and support personnel, to ensure efficient and high-quality food production.
- Develop and refine menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local flavors.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with industry regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders with suppliers, and manage food costs to optimize budget efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen team members to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistency with established recipes and quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to align kitchen operations with service expectations and customer satisfaction.
- Innovate and implement new culinary techniques, trends, and special promotions to enhance the dining experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or luxury hospitality setting.
- Proven expertise in Indonesian, Asian, or international cuisine, with a strong portfolio of creative and well-executed dishes.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse culinary team.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety protocols, HACCP standards, and local health regulations.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian is highly preferred.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
