Responsibility

  • Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and support personnel, to ensure efficient and high-quality food production.
  • Develop and refine menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local flavors.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders with suppliers, and manage food costs to optimize budget efficiency.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen team members to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistency with established recipes and quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to align kitchen operations with service expectations and customer satisfaction.
  • Innovate and implement new culinary techniques, trends, and special promotions to enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or luxury hospitality setting.
  • Proven expertise in Indonesian, Asian, or international cuisine, with a strong portfolio of creative and well-executed dishes.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse culinary team.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety protocols, HACCP standards, and local health regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English and Indonesian is highly preferred.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
