Responsibility
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Develop and refine menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local flavors.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and professionalism.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor and adjust food production to meet demand while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and innovate with new dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
- Proven expertise in Bakery, Grill, and International Cuisine, with a strong portfolio of creative dishes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and kitchen best practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
- Passion for sustainability and locally sourced ingredients.
- Degree or certification from a culinary school is highly preferred.
