Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, latte, cappuccino, and specialty drinks, adhering to Toi et Moi’s standards of taste and presentation.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a well-stocked and organized workspace, including restocking supplies and ensuring the café area is clean and inviting.
- Educate customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their experience.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently, ensuring accurate billing and change.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting low supplies to the manager.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new menu items, brewing techniques, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant, or similar establishment (minimum 1 year preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of coffee brewing methods, milk steaming, and latte art techniques.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory tracking.
- Familiarity with POS systems and café equipment is a plus.
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn and adapt to new trends and techniques.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
