Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of baristas, ensuring consistent quality and service standards.
- Oversee daily café operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop and refine drink recipes, seasonal menus, and specialty offerings to delight customers.
- Train staff on brewing techniques, customer service, and coffee knowledge to elevate their skills.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders with suppliers, and maintain cost control without compromising quality.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach.
- Collaborate with management to implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and events to drive foot traffic.
- Uphold strict hygiene, safety, and food handling standards in compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Barista, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Expertise in manual brewing methods (e.g., V60, Chemex, AeroPress) and espresso-based drinks.
- Strong knowledge of coffee origins, roasting profiles, and flavor notes to educate staff and customers.
- Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers and staff.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by café hours.
- Certification in coffee (e.g., SCA Barista Skills) or food safety is a plus.
- Passion for sustainability and ethical sourcing practices in the coffee industry.
