Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to ensure accurate and timely data ingestion from multiple sources.
- Transform and cleanse raw data into structured formats, ensuring consistency, integrity, and compliance with business rules.
- Automate data workflows and processes to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that meet their needs.
- Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and speed.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to support analytics and reporting initiatives.
- Implement data governance and quality control measures to ensure accuracy and security across all datasets.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in data engineering, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and automation tools to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data manipulation and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services (e.g., Glue, Data Factory, Dataproc).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices for data workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
