Responsibility
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, clean, and analyze large financial datasets.
- Design and optimize interactive dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to visualize financial KPIs, trends, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Leadership) to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Automate financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy, reducing manual effort by 30%+.
- Perform variance analysis, cost modeling, and profitability assessments to support strategic business decisions.
- Ensure data integrity by validating sources, implementing quality checks, and troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Present complex financial data in clear, compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in financial analytics and data science.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (CPA, CFA, FMVA) are a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL (complex joins, subqueries, window functions) and experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake).
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
- Experience working in a remote or offshore team is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required.
