Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of staff to deliver high-quality service and meet performance targets.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotations to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in alignment with company policies and local regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, reduce costs, and enhance operational productivity.
- Conduct regular audits of merchandise displays, pricing accuracy, and promotional compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and support overall store objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant supervisory role within retail, preferably in grocery or FMCG sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
- Proven ability to manage inventory, analyze sales data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with retail management software and POS systems is a plus.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain store standards.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is advantageous.
