Responsibility
- Oversee and coordinate daily maintenance operations for government facilities, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring timely and cost-effective service delivery for repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute facility upgrades or renovations.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific regulations related to facility maintenance.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably within government or large-scale public infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or similar software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic environment.
