Responsibility
- Design, install, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and backup generators, ensuring compliance with hospital safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical infrastructure to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted power supply.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to support critical medical equipment and hospital operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facilities management and IT, to integrate electrical systems with other hospital infrastructure.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to local regulations, hospital policies, and international safety standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC).
- Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Document all electrical work, including schematics, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and maintenance staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a healthcare or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP) and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
