Responsibility
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods to verify quantity, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Accurately record and document all received items in the inventory management system.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and organization of received goods.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the supervisor for resolution.
- Assist in preparing receiving reports and maintaining up-to-date records for audit purposes.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as needed to move goods safely.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to streamline receiving processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in a similar role, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or logistics sectors.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20-25 kg (assistance may be provided for heavier items).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, to meet operational demands.
