Responsibility
- Develop and execute global logistics sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-performance logistics partners, including freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and carriers.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and SLAs with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and service excellence.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in logistics procurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, finance, legal) to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, including cost savings, delivery times, and service quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate policies in all procurement activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Proven track record in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships in a global context.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and cost-benefit analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Familiarity with logistics software, ERP systems, and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs compliance.
- Certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or CIPS are highly desirable.
