Responsibility
- Develop and implement the global procurement strategy for electronic components, aligning with Roche's business objectives and technological roadmap
- Lead end-to-end supplier management, including selection, negotiation, contract management, and performance optimization for electronic component suppliers
- Conduct comprehensive market intelligence and cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain innovation
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure component specifications meet technical requirements while optimizing total cost of ownership
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in procurement, leveraging data analytics and e-procurement tools to enhance decision-making and process efficiency
- Manage risk in the electronic components supply chain, developing mitigation strategies for potential disruptions and ensuring business continuity
- Lead cross-functional sourcing projects, including RFx processes, supplier audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and report on category performance metrics, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in category management for electronic components or related technical categories
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation in a global environment
- Strong technical understanding of electronic components (semiconductors, PCBs, sensors, etc.) and their applications in medical devices
- Experience with digital procurement tools and data analytics platforms (SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Fluency in English; additional languages (German, Mandarin, etc.) are a plus
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time
