As a Geotechnical & Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, safety, and performance of foundations and structures. Responsibility
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling, laboratory testing, and in-situ assessments to determine site conditions.
- Design, install, and monitor instrumentation systems (e.g., piezometers, inclinometers, strain gauges) for real-time structural health monitoring.
- Perform pile integrity tests (PIT), dynamic load tests (DLT), and static load tests to evaluate foundation performance.
- Analyze geotechnical data using industry-standard software (e.g., PLAXIS, gINT, or similar) and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and clients to provide technical recommendations for foundation design and construction.
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, Eurocode) and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot on-site geotechnical challenges and propose cost-effective, innovative solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in geotechnical engineering and instrumentation to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, pile testing, or instrumentation.
- Proven expertise in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and structural monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with geotechnical software (PLAXIS, gINT, AutoCAD Civil 3D) and data acquisition systems.
- Familiarity with pile testing methodologies (PIT, DLT, CAPWAP) and instrumentation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work in field conditions and travel to project sites as required.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal). Knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
