As a Geotechnical Engineer at Geoearth Technology, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess soil and rock conditions, design stable foundations, and mitigate geotechnical risks for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Responsibility
- Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, borehole logging, and in-situ testing to assess subsurface conditions.
- Analyze and interpret geotechnical data to evaluate soil and rock properties, stability, and bearing capacity for foundation design.
- Design and recommend appropriate foundation systems (e.g., shallow, deep, or specialized foundations) based on site-specific geotechnical reports.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including recommendations for slope stability, retaining structures, and ground improvement techniques.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure geotechnical considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with geotechnical design specifications and address any unforeseen ground conditions.
- Provide technical support for risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and troubleshooting during project implementation.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and local regulations related to geotechnical engineering in Indonesia.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Geology (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, and site investigations.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geotechnical data and provide practical solutions.
- Experience working on projects in Indonesia or Southeast Asia is a plus, with knowledge of local soil conditions and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in English (proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng, or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory.
