Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on geopolitical trends, regional dynamics, and policy developments in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations for stakeholders, including government agencies and policy makers.
- Monitor and assess political, economic, and social developments that may impact regional stability and development.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather data, verify sources, and ensure the accuracy of research findings.
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts within government, academia, and think tanks to enhance research capabilities.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on research findings to support policy formulation and decision-making.
- Stay updated on global and regional geopolitical issues, emerging threats, and opportunities.
- Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences to disseminate research findings and foster dialogue.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Prior experience in government, public policy, think tanks, or policy research institutions is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex geopolitical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay or other regional languages is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, synthesize information, and produce high-quality reports.
- Familiarity with research methodologies, data analysis tools, and qualitative/quantitative research techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity, managing time and priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain professional networks.
