Responsibility
- Perform a full range of general surgical procedures, including but not limited to appendectomies, cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, and bowel resections.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, including patient history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing to determine surgical necessity.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists.
- Provide post-operative care, including monitoring patient recovery, managing complications, and ensuring proper wound healing.
- Respond to emergency surgical cases with urgency and precision, including trauma, acute abdominal conditions, and life-threatening injuries.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and post-operative care instructions.
- Stay updated with advancements in surgical techniques, medical technology, and evidence-based practices through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in General Surgery (or equivalent international certification).
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a practicing General Surgeon, with a proven track record in both elective and emergency surgeries.
- Proficiency in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
- Valid medical license to practice in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
