Responsibility
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor reconciliations and payment processing.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including VAT, withholding taxes, and other regulatory requirements.
- Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Support audit preparations by coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in the mining or natural resources sector.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
