Responsibility
- Lead and manage the Record-to-Report (R2R) function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local and international standards.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Tax, and Treasury, to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline accounting workflows and reduce manual efforts.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and internal controls.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role within a Shared Service Center or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proven experience in managing month-end close processes, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and mentoring teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
