Responsibility
- Prepare and present high-quality cold dishes, including appetizers, salads, charcuterie, and canapés for weddings and events.
- Design and execute visually stunning plating that aligns with event themes and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to develop innovative menus tailored to premium events.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet food safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients for cold food stations.
- Oversee the setup and presentation of buffet and cold food displays, ensuring aesthetic appeal and functionality.
- Train and mentor junior staff in garde manger techniques, food safety, and presentation standards.
- Adapt to last-minute changes in event requirements while maintaining excellence in food quality and presentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Garde Manger Chef or in a similar role, preferably in high-end catering, hotels, or fine dining.
- Proven expertise in cold food preparation, including charcuterie, pâtés, terrines, and artisanal cheeses.
- Exceptional knife skills and a keen eye for detail in food presentation and garnishing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining creativity and precision.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with chefs, event planners, and clients.
