Responsibility
- Develop detailed technical drawings and blueprints for custom furniture designs using CAD software.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and production teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
- Review and interpret design specifications to create precise drafts for manufacturing.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical archives of technical drawings and revisions.
- Conduct quality checks on drafts to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams during the manufacturing process.
- Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance drafting techniques.
- Assist in prototyping and testing new furniture designs to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Drafter, preferably in the furniture or woodworking industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp).
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, dimensions, and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex design specifications.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Portfolio showcasing previous drafting work is a plus.
