Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of fund accountants, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, NAV calculations, and investor reports for a portfolio of complex funds.
- Manage client relationships, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth fund operations.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of fund accounting operations.
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching and development opportunities to foster professional growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fund accounting.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in NAV calculations, financial reporting, and investor servicing for hedge funds, private equity, or mutual funds.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations applicable to investment funds.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, Advent Geneva, or similar) and advanced Excel.
- Ability to work night shifts (aligned with global markets) and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
