Responsibility
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing according to established standards and procedures.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing presses, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Inspect laundered items for stains, damage, or incomplete cleaning, and reprocess as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk teams to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and guest laundry.
- Monitor inventory of laundry supplies, such as detergents and fabric softeners, and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the training of new laundry staff and provide guidance on best practices for laundry operations.
- Adhere to all company policies, including sustainability initiatives for water and energy conservation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hospitality or high-volume environment.
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and best practices for handling different fabrics and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards in laundry operations.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 20 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the hospitality industry.
- Prior experience in Bali or familiarity with the local hospitality sector is a plus.
