Responsibility
- Prepare and cook menu items to exact specifications, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Assist in ingredient preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning, while adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow during service, including plating and garnishing dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and maximize cost efficiency.
- Support in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring all ingredients meet quality standards.
- Adapt to menu changes and special requests while maintaining speed and accuracy in a high-volume setting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety protocols (HACCP certification is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and efficiency.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with a variety of cuisines and ingredients.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 25 kg), and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes every time.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous but not required.
