Responsibility

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, cold brew, and specialty drinks, adhering to Tye Coffeehouse’s standards and recipes.
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment to ensure optimal performance and consistency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about our coffee offerings, and making personalized recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace, including the bar area, equipment, and customer seating, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the team to manage inventory, restock supplies, and assist with opening/closing duties as needed.
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your coffee knowledge, brewing techniques, and customer service skills.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests and team members alike.

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required—we welcome fresh graduates and individuals with a passion for coffee and customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment is a plus but not mandatory; we provide comprehensive training.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor to engage with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain composure during peak hours.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative in a dynamic and growing coffeehouse setting.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
  • Basic English proficiency is preferred to communicate with international guests.
  • A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional coffee experiences.
