Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of baristas to maintain high standards of coffee preparation and customer service.
- Oversee daily café operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Train and develop staff in brewing techniques, latte art, and customer engagement to ensure consistency.
- Monitor coffee quality, adjust grind settings, and collaborate with suppliers to source premium beans.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene protocols in compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in menu development, seasonal specials, and promotional strategies to drive sales.
- Track performance metrics, such as sales targets and customer feedback, and report to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a barista, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Expertise in specialty coffee brewing methods (e.g., pour-over, espresso, cold brew) and latte art.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in a high-volume environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and basic financial reporting.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on coffee trends and industry best practices.
- Fluency in English (additional languages, especially Indonesian, are a plus).
- Certifications in coffee (e.g., SCA, Barista Pro) or food safety are highly advantageous.
