Responsibility
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Ensure all dishes are consistently high-quality, fresh, and served in a timely manner.
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and compliant kitchen.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage inventory, reduce waste, and control costs.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations, including prep work and equipment maintenance.
- Monitor food supplies and communicate shortages or needs to the kitchen manager.
- Adapt to menu changes and special requests while maintaining efficiency during peak hours.
- Uphold a positive and professional attitude in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately while multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cuisines (preferably Asian or international).
- High standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety (HACCP certification is a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
