Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s standards and recipes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring a positive café experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café workspace, including equipment, counters, and dining areas.
- Operate cash registers, process payments, and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Educate customers about our coffee and tea offerings, including origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
- Assist in inventory management, restocking supplies, and reporting any shortages or equipment issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak hours and special events.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is a plus, but not required—we provide training!
- Passion for coffee, tea, and creating memorable customer experiences.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and operating POS systems.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 kg (e.g., supplies, equipment).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques, recipes, and café procedures.
