Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, cold brew, and specialty drinks, following Foragers’ high standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about our menu.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, countertops, and customer areas, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines and grinders, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning optimally.
- Collaborate with the team to manage inventory, restock supplies, and assist with opening or closing duties as needed.
- Create visually appealing latte art and presentation to enhance the customer experience.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and industry best practices to continuously improve your skills.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista in a café or specialty coffee shop, with a strong passion for coffee.
- Excellent knowledge of coffee brewing methods, equipment, and latte art techniques.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash transactions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
- Certification in barista training or coffee education is highly desirable.
