Responsibility
- Welcome and check in/out guests with a professional and friendly attitude, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Manage front desk operations, including handling phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries with promptness and courtesy.
- Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications using property management systems (PMS) accurately.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready and guest requests are fulfilled promptly.
- Provide local recommendations, travel tips, and assistance with tour bookings or transportation arrangements.
- Maintain organized records of guest information, payments, and incident reports in compliance with hostel policies.
- Handle guest complaints or issues diplomatically, offering solutions to ensure a positive resolution.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as filing, inventory management, and preparing daily reports for management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role, preferably in hospitality (hostels, hotels, or resorts).
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with property management software (e.g., Cloudbeds, Opera PMS).
- Service-oriented mindset with a passion for creating positive guest experiences.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address guest needs efficiently.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
