Responsibility
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and setting the tone for their dining experience.
- Manage reservations efficiently using our booking system, including handling walk-ins, special requests, and last-minute changes with professionalism.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction, balancing the needs of the restaurant and the dining experience.
- Collaborate closely with the service and culinary teams to ensure smooth communication, timely service, and seamless operations during peak hours.
- Assist in planning and executing special events, private dinners, and large group bookings, ensuring all details are meticulously organized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front-of-house area, including the host stand, waiting areas, and entryways.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns with diplomacy and a solutions-oriented approach, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Monitor guest flow and dining duration to optimize seating capacity and enhance the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a host/hostess or front-of-house role, preferably in a fine dining, upscale casual, or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally in English; additional languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, etc.) are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Familiarity with reservation management systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy, or similar) and basic POS systems is advantageous.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a passion for delivering outstanding guest service and creating memorable experiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurantās schedule.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Knowledge of Baliās hospitality industry and local dining culture is a bonus, but not required.
