Responsibility
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using POS systems and cash registers.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and other digital transaction methods with precision.
- Provide friendly, professional, and timely customer service at the checkout counter.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, returns, and exchanges in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area to enhance the shopping experience.
- Resolve minor customer complaints or escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or in a similar customer-facing role.
- Strong numerical and basic arithmetic skills for accurate cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems, scanners, and other retail technology.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weights (up to 10 kg).
- Attention to detail and a high level of integrity in handling financial transactions.
