Responsibility
- Stock, rotate, and display fresh fruits and vegetables to maintain optimal freshness and visual appeal.
- Conduct quality inspections of incoming produce to ensure compliance with company and health standards.
- Assist customers with product selection, providing recommendations and information on produce items.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the team to replenish stock as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales targets and operational goals.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new products, promotions, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail, grocery, or customer service roles, preferably in produce departments.
- Strong knowledge of fresh fruits and vegetables, including seasonality, storage, and handling best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move produce items (up to 20-25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and sales transactions.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
